Upper limb prosthesis
Upper limb prostheses are designed to replace part of an amputated arm. These prostheses include cosmetic, mechanical, and myoelectric models. Made using modern technologies, makeup artistry, and materials compatible with body tissue, these prostheses aim to achieve the highest possible resemblance in volume and color to the healthy limb (the opposite hand). Today, in addition to myoelectric prostheses, which can perform some movements of a healthy hand, cosmetic prostheses are so similar to natural hands that it becomes difficult for strangers to distinguish them from a real hand.
