Orthosis of the spine
Spinal orthoses include various types of cervical and lumbar braces, aimed at motion/positional control, pain management, structural correction of spinal deformities, support, disease progression prevention, and pre- and post-surgical applications. Common indications for these orthoses include lower back pain, sciatica, neck and back orthoses, disc herniation, lateral curvature of the spine (scoliosis), thoracic spine hunchback (kyphosis), excessive lumbar curve (lordosis), neck rotation (torticollis), and post-fracture cases of vertebrae due to trauma, osteoporosis, or trunk burns.
